Florida medical malpractice law is very complicated and specialized. Over the years medical and insurance interests have sponsored legislation designed to effect individuals’ ability to hold doctors and hospitals accountable for their mistakes – and overturn legal principals that are centuries-old and often rooted in our Constitution. The result is a system that is so complicated that it is difficult for attorneys, even those who specialize in medical malpractice, to keep up with the intricacies and nuances of this area of practice. This is not surprising as many of the current legal requirements were designed to make things harder for you and your clients!
This blog is intended to be a resource for my fellow attorneys who defend the rights of the injured, and seek to hold negligent and incompetent doctors and hospitals accountable for their actions.
